Introduction to the Diamond Approach

Introduction to the Diamond Approach:
A 6-week online course that gives you a glimpse into the full range of the teachings

In this six-week, online course we will explore the contemporary spiritual path of the Diamond Approach.  The Diamond Approach is unique in that it looks at what it means to be a spiritual being while being fully human in the world, in a way that is free of cultural context, embracing people from all walks of life.

During the course we will see how what’s happening right now—no matter what it is or where you are in life—can be a doorway to a greater sense of understanding, acceptance, peace, and personal freedom without needing to fix or change you.

Through lectures, weekly meditation and practices, live Q&As with the course teachers, and live online study groups led by experienced Diamond Approach teachers, we will explore the conditioning and beliefs that cause us to lose connection and learn how to be more fully ourselves, connected with all of life in each moment.

Why take this course?

Deep down we long to feel wisdom, love, joy, vitality, power, peace, authenticity, passion, pleasure, trust, and gratitude. Yet we tend to avoid our direct experience of life because it can be painful.

The Diamond Approach supports us in getting back in touch with the full range of our everyday experience and shifting our relationship with that experience to one of acceptance and curiosity. In doing so, we open new doorways to truth, compassion, and the deeper qualities of life that we long for and that are already within us.

The Diamond Approach allows us to go beyond intellectual teachings and learn practices and techniques that can be applied in our own lives, helping us incorporate spiritual teachings into our day-to-day in a very real and personal way.

Using the tools of this path, we learn to live more authentically—as our deepest, truest selves—finding fulfillment and peacefulness with ourselves, realizing our potential, and contributing to the betterment of humanity and good relationships with others. We can stop feeling separate, alone, or in pain, and realize we are constantly evolving beings with endless possibilities.

This course explores:

  • Why we tend to avoid our experience of life
  • How being present to and sensing our experience exactly as it is, gives us access to feelings of vitality, joy, and strength
  • How when we openly and precisely experience our everyday feelings, sensations, and thoughts, they can become doorways to our personal evolution
  • How our identity can shift from its ordinary experience as a separate self to one that is connected, loved, and constantly evolving
  • How there is no destination in our journey—that where we are right now in this moment is the gateway we are seeking to our unfolding and awakening

This online course includes:

What is an Inquiry Group?

Wondering what Inquiry is? Inquiry is the central practice of the Diamond Approach; it is a conversation between you and a teacher that is designed to help you investigate your inner world to see what’s really going on inside. Inquiry helps you better understand yourself and get in touch with your truth in all areas of your life, leading to new insights, realizations, and personal transformation.

In your inquiry group, you will have the opportunity to work with and be guided by an experienced Diamond Approach teacher to practice inquiry in the supportive presence of your other group members.

All of our teachers train for a minimum of 7 years and you will not only have a chance to learn from the teacher, but by witnessing the work of others. Online inquiry groups are a great place to build community with other spiritual explorers and you get the most out of the groups when you commit and show up each time.

Still not sure what inquiry is? That’s ok, our teachers will guide you through the process and things will become clear once you experience it for yourself. By the last group, you’ll know how to do inquiry on your own and will see how easily it can be applied in your daily life to support your personal growth.

Here’s what one of our online students had to say about Inquiry:

“It’s very surprising, with the online work, how intimate and personal I feel. One of the most important things in my life is community, and the online community is very accessible; I feel a part of it. Every time I do my inquiry group, I learn something from them or something about myself that I hadn’t quite realized. I’m learning about intimacy and how to be vulnerable, and it’s affected my relationships. I’m in an NVC group, and they’ve all noticed that I’ve changed. I’ve landed in myself. I feel more settled, like I have more courage.”
–Khalisa K.
