This phrase implies that we are able to see things clearly after they have happened.
When Karen and Hameed developed this year’s teaching schedule for many of the Ridwan School programs including the Diamond Approach Online program Divine Heart of Humanity, they called 2020 the Year of Love. In fact, Hameed’s New Year’s resolution for this year is to increase the joy quotient.
In hindsight, Karen and Hameed now see how the teaching itself was unfolding in the most perfect way for this year.
The global pandemic is physically confining us to our homes, altering our routines, and providing the opportunity to get in touch with our inner experience.
In the midst of this crisis and chaos, we are experiencing suffering, sadness and loss: loss of lives, loss of economic security, loss of the way life used to be. And we are experiencing the best of humanity with spontaneous acts of love, kindness and courage:
In addition to these acts of courage and sacrifice, many individuals are reevaluating their priorities and finding the desire and courage to venture more deeply into their inner world and touch the source of our shared essential humanity.
To be of service and to lead with heart during today’s crisis requires each of us to have a clear, open, and undivided heart that is able to access inner resources of the magical, beautiful multifaceted richness of love and express this into the world.
We invite you to join Karen Johnson Saturday, May 9 at 10 am – 11:30 am Pacific (find your local time) for a special public, online talk, 20/20 Heart Sight. Karen Johnson is the co-founder of the Diamond Approach as it is taught in the Ridhwan School today, having worked alongside Hameed Ali (A. H. Almaas) for the last 40 years. In 1972 she befriended Hameed Ali, and with him began a new trajectory into the secrets of the universe of Being, which became the Diamond Approach.
She continues to venture into new explorations of the endless realms of our indeterminant miraculous Nature. She is the author of The Jeweled Path: The Biography of the Diamond Approach to Inner Self-Realization, and co author with A.H.Almaas of The Power Of Divine Eros.
“Ridhwan” is a Sufi word. It means “satisfied and satisfying.” Our school, home to more than 4,000 students across the globe, has the potential to both help you to be fulfilled and to help others be fulfilled. Students learn to ground, sensitize, recognize, and trust the inherent guidance of Being.
The Diamond Approach is the core teaching of the Ridhwan School, a spiritual path that approaches our ordinary experiences, emotions, and sensations in a friendly way of understanding. This radical acceptance of our situation allows something to come through that puts us in touch with our spirituality.
In the Diamond Approach, everything we experience is utilized as a doorway to our spiritual nature. Rather than negating or seeking to transcend parts of our humanness that are considered barriers to realization, we learn to approach each aspect of our physical, emotional, and mental experience with acceptance and open curiosity to discover its truth. We do meditation and other exercises, but the main method is inquiry: non-judgment of what we’re experiencing, which brings crisp clarity into one’s own truth.
The Divine Heart of Humanity is a special, 3-part online teaching focused on love, value and passion. The teachers include A.H. Almaas (Hameed Ali), Andreas Mouskos and Tejo Jourdan. While it can feel easier to shut down in order to cope with disruptions to our daily lives, keeping an open heart and staying connected both to each other and ourselves, can help us weather this storm together and bring love to a world that needs it.
In this special, 90-minute public event you’ll hear a talk from Karen Johnson, meditate in virtual community, and have a chance to ask Karen all of your questions live.
You’ll also be able to access a downloadable event recording afterward.
This is a live teaching. If you are unable to attend the event, a downloadable event recording will be shared with you.
This is a free event.
