2025: A Year of Establishing Sanctuary

In response to these challenging times and the longing for a daily way of being that allows us to rest in the values of our essential nature–compassion, clarity, steadfastness, intelligence, strength, discernment–this year’s theme guided us to explore the divine tools for being human in today’s uncertain world.

In case you missed these teachings or would like to revisit them, here’s a short tour of the Diamond Approach Online (DAO) programs that our global community found most supportive in 2025.

The year began with more than 4600 people from around the world joining Diamond Approach founders A. H. Almaas (pen name of Hameed Ali) and Karen Johnson for a powerful teaching about how we can deepen our inner stability, stay rooted in realization, and bring beauty to stormy times in the Sanctuary in the Storm webinar.

Participants learned how presence is a tangible, grounding force that supports us in navigating life’s challenges, and discovered ways we can become beacons of light for ourselves and others, bringing care, empathy, and real strength into a world in need.

To provide additional guidance and a supportive, immersive experience for working with what’s arising inside our consciousness daily, Hameed and Karen followed Sanctuary in the Storm with a teacher-guided cohort of the Spirituality in a Fractured World teachings and practices.

Hundreds of highly engaged participants did the profound work of inquiring into our inner conflicts, divisiveness, and polarization, to help generate a powerful ripple of spiritually mature, loving, intelligent, and productive ways of meeting our world. This exploration together showed us what it looks like to integrate and embody confidence and maturity while we navigate a world full of beauty and challenges.

While the DAO team turned our attention towards optimizing our organization’s presence in the world through the Ridhwan Foundation’s comprehensive information technology project, our global community of seekers continued to lean into the teachings found in our online course catalog. This year, three programs from our on-demand library stood out as the most useful and beloved.

Human Instincts on the Inner Journey: How to Harmonize our Animal and Spiritual Nature continues to be one of our most highly engaged Diamond Approach teachings. This program shows us how the unconscious expression of our primal animal instincts play out in harmful, distorted ways that constrain the human heart. In repsonse, participants are guided through deep inquiries into opening up the package of ego, the social, sexual, and survival instincts, and learning what it means to become more spiritual in our human beingness.

Lightness of BeingIn the on-demand course catalog, the best introduction to the Diamond Approach is the Lightness of Being course—and it continues to be highly sought after and reviewed year after year. This course guides participants in how to engage the spiritual qualities that are most easily accessible by human beings,  most necessary for living our lives, and most supportive in the pursuit of our spiritual realization.

These five essential aspects are the interface between our everyday human experience and the nondual dimension of reality in which everything is a oneness that transcends our ego and sense of separateness. They bring nondual reality into practical application in our day-to-day lives and help us to dispel the belief that we are individuals who are somehow separate from our spirit.

The Keys to the Enneagram course is the most highly engaged course we offer. Taught by Russ Hudson and Sandra Maitri, this teaching illuminates the approach presented in A.H. Almaas’s book Keys to the Enneagram. Participants discover a radical and evocative new take on the Enneagram: that each of the Enneatypes mirrors and emulates a particular quality of presence. Going even further, they learn how we can use inquiry and other practices to open up our typologies so that we can more readily access those qualities in our everyday lives.

For the second year, Roger Walsh & John Dupuy from Deep Transformation Podcast continued their rich, inspiring series of in-depth interviews with Hameed about the Inner Journey Home. This 15-episode (as of December 2025) podcast series has over 300,000 views and is the first time Hameed has offered such a detailed, extensive, and conversational overview of his over 20 books and decades of teaching on the Diamond Approach.

As we reflect on this impactful year with our global community, we want to thank you for joining us in a year of establishing sanctuary and engaging the essential inner work of our times.

In January, we look forward to inviting you into our 2026 theme and some wonderful new explorations—including Hameed’s new book The Inner Beloved: The Heart’s Journey to Divine Unity (2/17/26 release) and a new set of teachings Hameed will offer on the Quantum View of Spirituality in a free, live lecture series .

We hope you find nurturing and celebration of your deepest nature during the holiday season and we look forward to seeing you next year to continue the journey together.
